During Automechanika Birmingham in June, ELTA Automotive Ltd will be marking its 25th anniversary by showcasing the two product lines (vision and electrical) it has introduced under its new ELTA PRO brands.
Launched as a direct response to the changing face of the aftermarket and positioned to provide the solution for the needs of the independent who is having to adapt and evolve to compete in this developing landscape, the VISIONPRO and VXPRO ranges give them the weapons they need in their armoury.
The combined offering is one of premium quality and positioned at a price point more reflective of the current market conditions, but which also meets their need for a broad range of products under a single, consistent brand image and sourced from a single supplier with a pedigree able to underpin its future growth.
The two product groups naturally reflect the core specialisms developed by ELTA Automotive during its first 25 years, adding further credibility and instilling confidence to the market.
ELTA VISIONPRO: Driving Vision – SEE
Bulbs – standard, halogen, upgrade bulbs, HID and LED. 6, 12 and 24-volt for cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles
Mirrors – replacement glass, replacement units, covers and indicators
Warning and safety lighting – warning beacons and emergency lighting products
Wiper blades – conventional blades, flat blades, hybrid blades and rear blades
ELTA VXPRO: Vehicle Sense and Control Electronics – SENSE
Engine management – including air mass meters, EGR valves, cam/crank sensors, lambda sensors, throttle bodies, throttle potentiometers, knock sensors, exhaust gas temperature sensors, idle air control valves, MAP sensors, oil level sensors and temperature switches
Fuelling components – including fuel pumps, swirl pots and sender modules
Ignition components – including ignition coils, HT leads, and traditional ignition components
Vehicle management – including ABS sensors, brake wear sensors, power steering sensors, parking sensors, heater control valves, brake/reversing light switches
Window lift regulators – including individual mechanisms and motors, mechanism/motor combinations and manual kits
Although both product groups share the same powerful brand imagery, separating them by name allows for further refinement and the ability to specifically position them to the greatest effect. It also avoids overstretching the core competence of each brand.
PRO Product Features
Original equipment matching performance – both product groups are tested throughout their manufacturing process and at ELTA’s own test facility to ensure like-for-like performance characteristics.
VISIONPRO bulbs are subject to meticulous testing procedures including light flux (brightness), chromaticity (colour), lifespan, geometric measurement, vibration and shock and paint/finish.
ELTA’s existing customers have liked the three-year warranty it introduced on the Lucas Electrical offering, so has taken the next step when it comes to the VXPRO range.
All VXPRO products come with a market leading five-year ‘no quibble’ warranty (excluding labour and limited life products such as brake wear sensors that are designed to destruct when triggered), which reflects the company’s confidence in the quality of its products.
The product packaging further reflects the premium quality position of the brands as it is both striking, which provides confidence to customers throughout the supply chain, and protective, reassuring technicians at the point of installation.
VISIONPRO bulb and wiper packaging features high grade mat laminated card. Bulbs are available in a range of package types to suite customer specific requirements including single boxed bulbs, trade packs (10 bulbs), clam carded bulbs and high-end retail packaging for the upgrade bulbs.
VXPRO packaging also features premium print finishing, hologram stickers for authenticity, QR codes linked to technical sheets and magnetically shielded sealing bags inside the box to protect more sensitive electronics.
A card in every box further reinforces product quality and signposts additional support such as TECHASSIST.
