Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient running of our busy distribution centre. You will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and dispatching automotive components, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders in line with company procedures.
• Receive and check deliveries, ensuring goods are undamaged and stock levels are correct.
• Load and unload vehicles safely using manual handling equipment or forklifts (where trained).
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas in compliance with health & safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory control.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Operate warehouse equipment and systems (e.g., scanners, labelling machines) effectively.
• Support colleagues and undertake any other reasonable tasks to meet business needs.

Skills & Experience

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for stock counting and order processing.
• Good communication and team-working abilities.
• Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach) desirable but training can be provided.
