Horn failure is commonly caused by:
Moisture ingress or corrosion inside the horn housing
Worn or broken diaphragms after prolonged use
Damaged wiring, poor grounds, or corroded connectors
Relay faults or voltage supply issues
Always check power and ground supply before replacing the horn — a non-working horn doesn’t always mean a failed unit.
For universal applications, ensure mounting position is solid and forward-facing, with the horn diaphragm unobstructed.
Use rubber-insulated mounts where possible to minimise vibration and extend lifespan.
For twin-tone setups, ensure correct polarity and separation between high and low tone units for optimal acoustic spread.
