Why Do They Fail?

Fuel injectors may fail due to:

  • Carbon build-up or clogging caused by poor fuel quality, injector deposits, or repeated short journeys.
  • Internal wear of the nozzle, pintle, or seals, leading to poor fuel atomisation or leakage.
  • Electrical faults within the injector solenoid, connector, or wiring harness.
  • Fuel contamination from dirt, rust, or water entering the fuel system.
  • High operating pressures in direct injection engines, which can accelerate component wear over time.

Symptoms of Faulty Fuel Injectors

  • Misfiring or rough idle caused by uneven fuel delivery.
